Letters take weeks. For the things that cannot wait that long — a court date, a hospital visit, a bad night — we set up a personal phone number and a texting plan for the person inside, so they can be reached and stay in touch between letters.

It is our own service, run by us. You deal with us from start to finish, and nothing is switched on until we have confirmed the details with you and it is working.

Messaging inside a facility is reviewed before it goes out, so a reply can take anywhere from fifteen minutes to a few hours depending on the shift. That is normal, and it is still a great deal faster than the mail.

How it goes from here

We check the details and confirm the plan with you before anything is set up. The number and the texting plan are set up by T&B Inmate Solutions, and when it is ready we email you the setup information to pass along to them for their facility computer. Payment is taken by card on our own payment account — we never see your card details.

You must be 18 or older to sign up.

What we need, and why

Their name as it is on their mail. A nickname can send the setup to the wrong person.
Their ID number. Any number their system uses — an NSDOC number, a department of correction number, a register number, or any inmate number.
The facility and the state. So we know what we are setting up and where it has to work.
How to reach you. So we can confirm the plan before anything is charged or switched on.

When it is ready

We email you the setup details once the number is live. You pass them along to them and they add them on the facility computer, which is what makes the service work at their end. If any of it does not work, call us and we will sort it out with you.

Paying by check or money order?

That is fine too. Call us, tell us which plan, and we will take the details and tell you where to send it and who to make it out to.
