Put the money on the account before they need it

A family member or friend can load credit onto a person’s account in advance. From then on, the credit is used for gifts, books and any of our other services — instead of paying each time something comes up.

It is the simplest way to look after someone from a distance. One payment now, and it sits there until they need it.

What the credit can be used for

Gifts from the catalog

They ask us for the catalog, choose what they want, and we ship it to the family member or friend they name.

Books and magazines

We order them for them and have them sent into the facility.

Photos and letters

Prints mailed in, and letters you write through the site that we print and post.

Personal assistance

Research, lookups, phone calls and the everyday errands family may not be able to run.

Load credit, or check a balance

Payment is taken by card on our own payment account, and the credit is added to their account once it clears. If you would rather pay by check or money order, call us and we will add it by hand.

Pay once now, and the credit sits against that person. It is then used for gifts, books and any of our other services instead of paying each time.

Whose account

Any number their system uses is fine — an NSDOC number, a department of correction number, a register number, or any inmate number. That is how we locate their information and make sure the mail goes to the right place.

Check a balance

Put in the person’s name and their ID number to see what is on their account. Both are needed, and only the balance is shown.

Paying by mail

If a check or money order is easier, send it in and we will add the credit to the account by hand. Call us first and we will tell you where to post it and who to make it out to.
