T&B Inmate Solutions

We keep the line open

T&B Inmate Solutions is a small operation, run by people who have been on both sides of the visiting room. We publish pen pal listings for men and women in state and federal custody, and we handle the practical work that families cannot always do themselves.

Why this work matters

A sentence takes a person’s address, their job, their phone, and most of the people who used to call. What it does not take is the mail. A letter still gets through, and for the ten minutes it takes to read one, the person holding it is not an inmate number.

Loneliness inside is not a small thing. It is the thing that makes everything else worse — the court dates, the classes, the letters home that never get answered. A regular correspondent changes what a week feels like. That is the whole reason we built this.

We list people who want to be listed. Some are looking for friendship. Some want letters about faith, or somebody to talk to about music, or a person who will tell them what is happening out in the world. None of them are looking for pity. They are looking for a person to write to.

How we handle a listing

A family member, a friend, or the person themselves sends us a photo and a short bio. A person here reads every submission by hand before it is posted — we check the details, take out anything that should not be public, and confirm with whoever sent it.

What goes on the site is a first name, an age, whether the custody is state or federal, the facility and state, and their own words. No last names, no inmate numbers, no case details. If you would like a listing changed or taken down, tell us and it comes down the same day.

Who you are talking to

We answer families, friends and people inside the same way. Call the number below and you will reach a person, not a menu. If it is something we cannot help with, we will say so rather than take your money.

We are not attorneys and we do not give legal advice. We help people get the right forms in front of them and moving where they need to go, and we tell you plainly when a question needs a lawyer.
